I head many times from Japanese who used to work in Moscow that there are only two seasons there: winter and summer.
– And what about our spring and golden autumn?
– Unfortunalely very short… Honestly, Natasha-san, you should watch Japan…
My interest grew biger and biger and finally I have got an opportunity to visit Japan in autumn.
… Depending on prefecture and number of sunny days the colors of Japanese autumn are changing from bright which make a soul happy to muffled but all of them are warm and soft. And among this richness of colors and tints there are people: smiling Japanese walking their dogs; retirement exclaimed “Dostoyevsky!” when he understood that I had come from Russia; a young man admiring chrysanthemums; couples taking photos of maple foliage…
And National Park Nikko, and Philosophical Path in Kyoto, and Osaka Castle Park, and Heijo Palace in Nara , and ancient Horyuji , and momiji of Miyajima – everywhere the nature disposes to contemplation and versification:
I am ready to admire
Foliage autumn endlessly
It’s lovely to my heart so much,-
Oh, billeting furious wind,
From hilly mountains does not hurry to come!..
